Information For Media

The 5th Annual World SWAT Challenge is a privately hosted event and entry into is restricted to those individuals granted access by the World SWAT Challenge. Decisions are final and all media wishing to cover the event must have approved credentials.

Media coverage is encouraged and press credentials will be awarded authorizing World SWAT Challenge coverage to accredited news and journalistic organizations which submit a request.

There are four requirements to obtain Press/Media Credentials:

  1. The media outlet (paper/journal/network/etc.) requests accreditation by completing and submitting the provided World SWAT Challenge Media Request form (may be completed online on the World SWAT Challenge REGISTRATION web page - under MEDIA REGISTRATION).
  2. A press waiver will be supplied on site at the event. All individuals who cover the event must ALL sign a Press Waiver and agree to its terms. Without a signed Press Waiver no credentials will be issued and entrance into the event will be denied.
  3. All media outlets must agree to respect the rights of competing officers who prefer NOT to speak or be interviewed AND/OR have their images/pictures taken by the press. ALL media personnel MUST ASK EVERY individual if it is permissible to take their picture and/or speak with them on the record. (Undercover Officer Safety Issues are Paramount)
  4. All media must abide by the safety directives of the World SWAT Challenge Staff and range officials. This is a live fire event and your safety is essential.
